Arithmetic Stories — 算术故事

Most of these stories follow Tanya from age 3 to 14, as she progresses from simple counting to more advanced mathematical ideas. Tanya is a feisty, curious girl with a strong sense of dignity and a willingness to help others. She is the chaheti (cherished favourite) of her Chachaji, Uncle Jim, who is equally fond of her.

Through Tanya’s adventures with family, friends and teachers, the stories show how mathematics is woven into everyday life. The aim is to make learning arithmetic interesting, enjoyable and meaningful.

这些故事大多围绕坦雅（Tanya）展开，讲述她从3岁到14岁，从简单的数数逐渐学习更复杂数学概念的成长经历。坦雅是一个活泼、好奇、自尊心强、乐于助人的女孩。她是吉姆叔叔（Chachaji Jim）最疼爱的孩子，而吉姆叔叔也十分喜爱她。

通过坦雅与家人、朋友和老师之间的日常故事，读者可以发现数学如何融入我们的生活。这些故事旨在让算术学习变得有趣、愉快而有意义。
